Katie crashed hard early tonight! Barely made it past 6PM. She played hard at Laughlin AFB daycare and they were able to go outside in the afternoon for the first time in several days but it was still very hot. Sun must have gotten to her. Sound asleep. She had an exhausting day: a full day at Laughlin AFB Daycare, then Nora and Jake Windsor came to pick her up. Mom with Nora to a painting class and Dad took Jake and Katie to the base gym where we played in the raquetball court with volleyballs for about a hal hour and then it was to McDonals's for more play and food, then back to The Dwyer House for more play and cartoons until everyone was sleepy about 9:30. At home with Dad after taking a bath. Katie got Dad's hair wet and gave him crazy hair. Katie really threw us for a loop after the bath. Daddy was sitting on the living room floor and Katie was trying to get Daddy to lay on his stomach so she could get on his back. She pointed to the floor and demanded, "Abajo!" Then she got on my back and pointed up and said "Arriba!" Mom and Dad were shocked. Neither of us have ever mentioned these words to her. Asleep after a hard night's play. Mom had a bunch of friends over and hosted a party so Katie hung with Dad all night. She went for a two-mile bike ride with Dad, threw rocks outside, explored the basement of the house, said hello to the ladies at the party, and read a few books before passing out. The bike ride consisted of her riding the tricycle without having to peddle - her tricycle has a long stick in the back that we push her with. So not only did Dad have to push her but he had to raise the front wheel off the ground the whole time because if the pedals move she won't put her feet on them!
